Fear is the opposite of faith. In gymnastics, it may be a fear of getting injured or falling while performing a skill. No matter what the fear is, failing to conquer it can lead to undesired consequences such as the prevention of forward mobility in the sport or even worse, the end of an athletic career.
The ramifications of fear can be detrimental. But what's even more dire is that when you fear, the enemy wins. He wants nothing more but to see you fail. And he will stop at nothing to wreak havoc in your life. In 1 Peter 5:8-9, it tells us to "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith.
Notice it says he is "looking for someone to devour". That doesn't mean that he can devour you. He only will if you allow him to. This is why it is imperative for you to stay in faith. When you stand firm on God's word, the enemy has no choice but to flee and leave you alone (James 4:7). You have the power to defeat the enemy every single time he tries to attack.
When it comes to fear, all you need to remember is that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). When you mediate and believe this, NOTHING and NOONE can stop you! Stay in faith 😇!
